THE OFFICIAL RULES

 

These are the Official Rules for Osceola County Council on Aging’s 1st Annual Car Drawing. The Osceola County Council on Aging Inc., is a 501 (c)3 non-for-profit, private charitable organization. The Osceola County Council on Aging is the largest social services organization in Osceola County, providing a wide array of services and programs to meet the needs of our community. Though the name implies services for just the elderly, our scope of services extends to families as well, helping during crisis to enable generations of residents to cope with challenges. By entering this drawing, all participants and winner(s) consent to the use of their names and likeness in publicity related to the drawing and its outcome without compensation and waive any and all claims against the Osceola County Council on Aging, Inc. Participants of this drawing must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Donations for tickets will begin on November 1, 2020, and will cease 30 minutes prior to the 1:00 p.m. pm drawing on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. Employees and Board Members of the Osceola County Council on Aging, as well as ALL THOSE LIVING IN THE SAME HOUSEHOLD of employees and board members, of the Osceola County Council on Aging, Inc., are not eligible to enter.

General Conditions: By entering, entrants accept and agree to the Official Rules and the decisions of the Osceola County Council on Aging, Inc.

Suggested minimum donation of $30.00 dollars per entry. There is no minimum or maximum amount of tickets to be sold to each donor. The odds of winning are 1 in 10,000, as a total of only 10,000 tickets will be sold. Donations may be tax-deductible and deductions may benefit donors differently. Tickets for this drawing will be issued on first-come, first-served basis. Checks and Money Orders should be made payable to Osceola County Council on Aging, Inc. and sent to Attn: Marketing Department, 700 Generation Point, Kissimmee, FL 34744. Drawing will be held at 1:00 pm on January 6, 2021, at the 3 Kings event located at the Osceola County Council on Aging in Kissimmee, Florida, 34744.

To receive a free ticket, requests must be received in writing, and must include name, address, valid e-mail address and phone number. To be eligible, mail-in requests for a free entry must be received by mail, no later than Wednesday, December 30th, 2020. Only one free ticket per household, via written request, is available. Free tickets must be requested in writing and may not be requested through the internet or phone.

Tickets will be issued in the Name designated by the entrant at the time of purchase. This year’s drawing will be done by the random draw of a paper ticket drawn from a bin. The winner will be notified based on the name and contact information provided by the donor. You will be able to verify your entries on our website 7-10 days after donation by visiting www.osceolagenerationsapps.org/ticket-verification. (Button is located at the bottom of the page)

Drawing is open to all ticket holders. The Osceola County Council on Aging, Inc. reserves the right to award prize to those whom it determines the winner(s). All decisions are final. Winner(s) will be responsible for all taxes (Federal, State and Local) as well as licensing, registration, and delivery of prize. Winner(s) will be notified by telephone, e-mail, and or US Mail at the information indicated at time of ticket purchase. Winner must present purchase receipt and valid identification to claim prize. Prize must be claimed within 30 days.

Sponsor makes no warranty of any nature with respect to the raffle or the prize, whether in respect of fitness for a particular purpose, satisfactory quality or otherwise. Entrants acknowledge that, except as specifically set forth herein, sponsor has not made and disclaims all liability for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, related to the raffle or the prize.

Name of winner(s) or copy of Official Rules may be obtained by sending a self-addressed, postage-paid envelope to Osceola County Council on Aging, Inc. Attn: Marketing Department, 700 Generation Point, Kissimmee, FL 34744. Donations to Osceola County Council on Aging Inc. and this event are non-refundable. *The IRS requires raffle winners to pay federal taxes on raffle winnings at the time of the award. The Osceola County Council on Aging will pay to the IRS, on behalf of the winner, up to $2,500 in taxes required on the vehicle. This may or may not be the actual amount you will owe on your federal taxes. You may owe more on the prize winnings. Please consult your tax advisor concerning your specific situation.
